Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish actor and model. Her birth date was 11th November 1966. Her feature film debut was a small part in The James Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). In the following film she played the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and in the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan Doovan played Charlotte as Taffin in 1988 and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody became a model after her being approached by a hopeful photographer. The career she pursued has evolved into commercial modelling. Doody did not like glamour or nude work. This was a principle that she incorporated into her acting. She accepted a small part as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill after she was noticed by the casting director. Doody appeared as a character in John Willis Screen World Volume 2 as one of 12 promising actors to be cast in 1986. 38. Doody, at 18-years-old in the role of Doody in Bond she was still the youngest Bond girl to date. The year 1987 was the time Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying where she played IRA member Siobhan Doovan. Then she took her greatest role as Austrian archaeologist and Nazisympathiser Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody has collaborated with three James Bond actors. Doody costarred with Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was inspired by The Hitler Diaries publishing scam. In Hollywood her next move was to. She went on as Flannery her agent as well as partner in Major League II. She was chosen to be an alternative to Cybill Shepherd, who was L'Oreal's first spokeswoman. Doody's return to the screen was in 2003 when Michael Caine played Doody in a short role. in 2004, Doody was in the film alongside Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody was on Benjamin's Struggle (2005), which was a pamphlet that described the Holocaust. Doody made an appearance on Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. Later, she guest-starred in the RTE the medical drama The Clinic. She was supposed to appear in the remake of the horror movie The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. In 2011, she started the first season of two on the E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she appeared as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way. She was given the Almeria Tierra de Cinema award on November 21, 2018.
