Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18, 1985, in Los Angeles. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained Minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was a natural athlete and found her passion of sprinting while in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Following her initial audition she was ranked within the top two places at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003 signed a sports contract with Adidas. Then she was accepted into at the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record in the 200-meter race with a time of 22.18. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to win the 200 meter race. In 2007 she defended this title and beat her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top three in all event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
