Iliza Shlesinger

 Iliza Vie Schlesinger, born 22nd February, 1983 was an American comedian, actress and executive producer. She was the 2008 winner on the NBC show Last Comic Standing. She was later the host of Separation Anxiety and the syndicated dating show Excused.

 In 2017, Shlesinger was the host of her own talk show at night called Truth & Iliza on Freeform. [5] As of 2022, she has released six comedy specials on Netflix. Her sketch comedy show The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show debuted on Netflix in April 2020.

 Iliza Vie Shlesinger was born New York City to a Jewish family. Her family brought her up in Dallas, Texas by her parents, who relocated to Dallas as a young infant. She attended Addison's Greenhill School, Texas. There she studied Spanish and was also a part of the school's improv team.

 Shlesinger appeared on ComedySportz Dallas, and studied at the University of Kansas for her freshman year. She also participated in Semester at Sea. She then went on to Emerson College, Boston, Massachusetts. There, she studied film. There she worked on her editing and writing skills as well as was a part of Jimmy's Traveling All Stars, a comedy sketch group for students on campus.

 Following her graduation from college Shlesinger relocated to Los Angeles to pursue stand-up comedy. Shlesinger was a popular member of the Whiteboy Comedy standup comedy group in Los Angeles. This brought her to The Improv in Hollywood.
