Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18, 1985, in Los Angeles. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained Minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was a natural athlete and found her passion of sprinting while in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School.
